Egg Donor Eligibility
In order to become an egg donor with The Stork Society, LLC, you must first pass a basic screening to ensure your eligibility. Please see the requirements below.
Qualifications
The Stork Society conducts a thorough screening process before allowing women to join our egg donor program. These requirements are in place to ensure a positive experience for the egg donor and the intended parents as well as promote a healthy life experience for the child. We follow the guidelines for Egg Donor Eligibility set forth by the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.
Egg Donor Eligibility Requirements*
Have both ovaries
Live in the United States
Be between 19-31 years of age
Have a Body Mass Index (BMI) lower than 28. Calculate my BMI.
Live within 50 miles of a fertility clinic. Find your nearest fertility clinic.
Be physically and psychologically healthy
Have some college education
Free of tobacco, marijuana, illegal drugs, and alcohol for the duration of the donation cycle
Not using long-acting forms of contraception such as Depo-Provera or Nexplanon for 6 months prior to the start of a cycle
Be comfortable giving yourself daily injections for two weeks with small needles, like those used for insulin
Be comfortable with the decision to donate eggs and able to commit to the entire donation process
