Egg Donor Eligibility

In order to become an egg donor with The Stork Society, LLC, you must first pass a basic screening to ensure your eligibility. Please see the requirements below.

Qualifications

The Stork Society conducts a thorough screening process before allowing women to join our egg donor program. These requirements are in place to ensure a positive experience for the egg donor and the intended parents as well as promote a healthy life experience for the child. We follow the guidelines for Egg Donor Eligibility set forth by the American Society for Reproductive Medicine.


Egg Donor Eligibility Requirements*

  • Have both ovaries

  • Live in the United States

  • Be between 19-31 years of age

  • Have a Body Mass Index (BMI) lower than 28. Calculate my BMI.

  • Live within 50 miles of a fertility clinic. Find your nearest fertility clinic.

  • Be physically and psychologically healthy

  • Have some college education

  • Free of tobacco, marijuana, illegal drugs, and alcohol for the duration of the donation cycle

  • Not using long-acting forms of contraception such as Depo-Provera or Nexplanon for 6 months prior to the start of a cycle

  • Be comfortable giving yourself daily injections for two weeks with small needles, like those used for insulin

  • Be comfortable with the decision to donate eggs and able to commit to the entire donation process
